sleepy Anyway ^_^ I have been working on my Asuka costume this weekend ^_^ I took a few photos but they were kind of rushed since I didn’t have much time today. They turned out ok ~_~ to add to it I also edited them on my laptop… which I haven’t bought a mouse for yet ^_~ so needless to say it not one of my best cropping jobs but oh well ^_^ It worked I didn’t want to post huge images and I guess it isn’t that bad. I’m really happy with how the costume is working out so far though ^_^ There is still a lot of work to do but it feels nice making some progress on it finally! Now it sort of looks like a plug suit and not just a red suit ^_^ I haven't glued the chest part on yet so tape is holding in place so I could see what it looked like ^-^' It will look more normal when it is glued down I ran out of glue while working on the gloves :( I don't know if it is the laptop or the photo but the green part looks black to me... ^-^' Oh well.. I’m so excited ^_^ I can’t wait to have the costume finished ^_^
Other than that I have been watching Full Metal Panic Fumoffu! It is so wonderful ^_^ I’m on the last dvd and I can’t want to finish watching it. The series is one of the funniest I have seen in a long time. Ah, new anime is a wonderful thing ^_~
Good news! ^_^ My teacher loved my research paper on video games! *excited* It is a hard paper to pull off but I enjoyed doing it and the grade was a good thing ^_^ I also did not write only the negatives about video games ^_^ I also added in a section about DDR too ^_^ I was worried my teacher might not like the paper because it was different from everyone else. She enjoyed it and told me she liked the topic ^_^ Ok, so now if I can make it through the boring school stuff that is left now the fun stuff is finished ^_~ Time is going by so fast ^_^’ I still have all those reports I have to finish by the end of the year 0_o Blah to much homework can’t we just watch anime ^_~ That would be asking way to much ^_^
I need some friend time though ~_~ *sniffle* I try email everyone when I can but in person is more fun ^_^ hopefully, Amy can hangout again soon :D I have some friends I need to email/call too *_* At least I finally mailed a gift off to a friend today! I’m so happy ^_^ I have had it for a month and been to busy to mail it. Ok, so that leaves one gift sitting in my room to be mailed off. ^_^ Yay, I am making progress! ^_^ I buy little things for friends when I see something I have enough money to buy but then mailing it sometimes is the hard part ^-^’ The post office is on the side of town I never go to for anything else.

No, thankfully the laptop doesn't have one of those red things ^_^ It uses that little pad thing but a mouse is much easier to use ^_^ I need to go buy one editing pictures without is way to hard *_*

Fumoffu is one of my all time fave comedies.Though I prefer The Second Raid, More of a action/Military series.

The ending of Fumoffu was really different ^_^' I think only that series could pull something like that off but the whole thing was great ^_^

Thats so cool that you got to do a college paper on vidio games! ^_^ I love DDR. I have no idea how many fortunes I've dumped at the arcade because of it. *_* And for some reason I still suck! Are you any good at it? ^_^ I hope someone is! :p

It had been a long time since I played DDR ^-^' I wasn't any good at the arcade version of it ^_^' I would get distracted by something and end up not doing well ^_~ but I have my own DDR pad and I play ok with the home version ^_^ The game is so much fun! ^_^ I think it proves that video game people are not lazy couch potatoes ^_^

Hello Angel,I would just like to tell you that your costume looks great! What material is that shiny stuff? It sure looks like some of the liquid latex I see done here on campus, but I know that's not so as that stuff is one time use.
I'm sorry that school is so hectic for you. I can certainly empathize as I work for NASA and am in 3 physics and a theoretical proof-based math class but desire to do nothing more than watch some anime and rip through Star Ocean 2, FFVII-X, Xenogears etc. Well, at least you know it will be over eventually. You're a beautiful and talented young girl whom I wish heaven had ordained my meeting, but not so. So maybe you'll even find a nice and charming young man for yourself in all of that commotion.

The material is some sort of PVC over fabric or at least that is what the website said^_^' I bought it off of an online fabric store a while back.I'm sure my school isn't as hectic as the classes you talked about ^_^ I do prefer to watch anime and play video games though ^_~ At least it makes me appreciate the times when I do get to watch anime even more ^_^ Aw, that is really sweet of you to say ^_^ Thank you. Although, the odds of me meeting any guys is pretty slim right now since I am an education major ^_~ The only people I see are the little kids I work with and the girls in my class ^_^ But it is a lot of fun actually so I can't complain much ^_^

I'll remember to check out Full Metal Panic sometimes, it's been awhile since I've watched anime.
Your Asuka costume looks incredible, I'm sure it'll be even more so when it's finished ^_~ If you can finish it by next week, you can go trick or treating! ^_^ I must say your hair looks amazing with the new highlights too ^_^ I was wondering what that looked like, you must have read my mind, hehe.

I was so happy to get to work on my costumes again ^_^ It helped me relax after how stressful school gets during the week.
Getting an anime fix every now and then is very important ^_~
I doubt I could finish the costume that fast since I still have a lot of work to do on it ^_^ But oh, well I don't have anywhere to dress up for Halloween this year :( Yay ^_^ I'm happy you like my new highlights ^_^ It is fun getting a change for a while. Oh! Did I tell you for my Asuka costume I'm dying my hair a red color ^_~ Not permanent though ^_^ I found a semi-permanent hair color that should work ^_^ It won't be as red as Asuka's but I wanted it to be natural looking ^_^

Asuka's plugsuit is coming along quite well. I understand exactly how you feel. The past few weeks I have had so much school and Disney related work that I hadn't had much time for costumes; however, I did managed to work on some costumes today (mainly Esmeralda's top and Rinoa's duster). I love the highlights in your hair.

I don't know how to do it 0_o You always do so much and still finish new costumes that look amazing. I haven't made a new costume since school started ^-^' I want to at least make sure I have Asuka finished by Animazement ^_^

I saw an episode of Full Metal Panic Fumoffu @ comic con san diego and it scared the hell out of me. it was the one w/ the man in the horse head that constantly yells "PONY! PONY!". foooo i got chills just thinking about it.PS:Love your costumes! as always!

Yes, my hair has a lot more blonde in it now. When I finish my Asuka costume I'm going to change my hair to red though ^_^ that should be fun ^_^

As a games designer I see a lot of fearful guff written about my industry, the product of spin and scares and ignorance. There are no more 'negatives' about our product than there are about any other form of media, such as the movies. Which is to say there is some adult material, clearly marked as such via a rating system, but that is hardly the whole of the business.
If I was to write about anime entirely through the lens of animated porno titles such as Urotsukidoji you would probably feel I was being unfairly negative and harsh about one of your favourite forms of media. You'd be eager to point out that pr0n was a trivial part of anime and does not reflect the richness of the material out there. This was exactly what I experienced ten years back when writing about anime for magazines, while the mainstream media continued to portray ALL anime, without exception, as sick and violent and with an undercurrent of sex and pedophilia. The recent renaissance in coverage, thanks in the main to the breakthrough of Ghibli titles in the West, still astonishes me. It's not been so long since anime was portrayed as less than innocent. The interface between juvenilia and the media sits uneasy with many commentators.
And that attitude persists with video games today. Cleverly engineered scares about sexual and violent content in games plays into the hands of some very unscrupulous people who like to distort the truth to further a political agenda. The fact that you didn't only write about negatives suggests you might well see this too. But I'm concerned that maybe you had to focus, pruriently, on the sex and violence, or defend something that needs no defense.
Changing the subject, your plug suit is coming along nicely. There have been several attempts to do this by fans, but yours looks by far the most successful so far. And you have the figure, face and hair to make a good Asuka.
In other news, Manga Entertainment have just sent us a timecoded interview with Mamoru Oshii and Motoko is busy transcribing and translating it. Will be interesting to see what the big fella has to say about Ghost in the Shell.

The comment came from the fact that I didn't know what to write my paper on while back. I had so much work and I was writing papers for other classes and we were told the subjects could not overlap with other papers we were writing for other classes. In talking to my teacher for topic ideas she gave me the name of a book that part of it focused on the negatives of young children playing video games and watching movies. That is what she gave me for the topic of my paper since I couldn't think of one that didn't involve something I was already writing about. Long story short ^_^ The book was popular because the book store was sold out and I didn't have time to order a copy. So I talked to my teacher and did my own research and talked about the positive as well as the negative influence that video games have on children and education. ^_^ I said that because I was happy I didn't have to write a paper on only a negatives ^_^ I always like to show both sides to an opinion when I can in my papers. So there we go ^_^ I hope that helps explain that I don't hate video games ^_~ I play to many of them for that ^_^

I just finished off the last DVD of Fumoffu too. The very last episode has to be the best of the too short lived series. Not often that you see a series that is confident and having fun with who it is....maybe the last time it was FLCL. Beware of petroleum attacking bacteria. ;-P

Oh man, FUMOFFU is amazing! I just wish Anime Network would put it up faster...I wanna watch more of it faster! 0_0 Although they've at least been giving me enough Cromartie High in the meantime to keep me occupied, lol. ^_^

Glad to hear that your teacher enjoyed your report. I can imagine that it wasn't the easiest report to write, with information changing all the time on it.
Uhg. I'm just as bad at emailing friends too. Sorry. I haven't kept in very good contact at all lately. After the New Year, I'll be able to take a vacation. Maybe I'll come down again this summer (if your family is ok with that of course). I always have such a great time when I see you, Jonathan, and the rest of the family. ^__^ You guys are the best (and the NC Crew as well of course.
